Icons of Whisky

Recognising the very best people and places in whisky throughout the world, the Icons of Whisky are split in to three main groups;

• Retail; single outlet and multiple outlets
• Producers; distiller, innovator, ambassador and visitor attraction of the year
• On trade; bar, hotel and restaurant of the year – whose short list is created from the year long accreditation system.

Each award has regional heats, held in Japan, America, Canada, Ireland and Scotland, with the grand final held in London, England, on the eve of Whisky Live London.

Presentations

Regional Icons of Whisky are reviewed in Issues 67 and 68 of Whisky Magazine, with lunches or dinners in each of Japan, America, Canada and Scotland. The overall Icons of Whisky are then presented on Thursday 29th February 2008 and listed in the March 2008 edition of Whisky Magazine.
